Tŷ Hafan – The Family Hospice for Young Lives

Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice in Wales, is a very special place.
It is located in its own grounds on the banks of the Channel at
Sully, close to Barry to the west of Cardiff. It was purpose built
and opened in January 1999 to provide help and support for the
300+ families, living within Wales, where one or more of the children
suffer from a life-limiting illness. As this service is completely
free to all the families that use Ty Hafan, it now costs over
£2 million every year to operate and your help is needed. To find
out more about Ty Hafan, please click the above link.
Since 1999, Tŷ Hafan has been helping life-limited children, young
people and their families make the most of the time they have
left together.
Not only does Tŷ Hafan provide specialist palliative care, but
it also offers a much-needed source of strength, support and short
break care for the whole family. Tŷ Hafan takes its support right
into the family home and is there to help these families through
every step of their unimaginable journey. Tŷ Hafan’s services
are completely free of charge for families in Wales that need
them.
Tŷ Hafan is not part of the NHS and receives no guaranteed statutory
funding. It has to raise over £3 million every year and inevitably
that cost will rise. To continue to offer its unique service to
families, it relies on the generosity of the public, its corporate
sponsors and volunteers. To find out more how you can help, please
