Charity Sportsmen's Chepstow RFC Dinner

A 130 year-old Gwent rugby club has teamed up with some of Welsh rugby's legends to help them raise money for charity. Chepstow RFC, founded in 1878, is hosting the next Welsh Charitable RFC fundraising dinner. It's on Friday 28 November and tickets are selling fast.

The two main speakers are Tom David and Steve Fenwick. Other guests will include stars from rugby league and rugby union. So far the confirmed guests include David Watkins, Brian Price, Bryn Meredith, Russell Robbins, Keith Jarrett, Adrian Hadley, and Chepstow's own former Pontypool & Newport captain. Richard Goodey.

David Power, secretary of the Welsh Charitable, said: "It's going to great taking the Welsh Charitable RFC into the heart of this popular club. The club members have promised us they will be fantastic hosts and all guests are welcome. We might even attract rugby fans from across the Severn Bridge as well as we are so close to it."

All monies raised form the dinner will go to a Trust Fund to support the Welsh Charitable RFC nominated charities namely, TY Hafan The Children's Hospice in Wales, St Anne's Hospice, St David's Foundation Hospice Care, The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust (A Trust to support players at all levels injured whilst playing the game) and WREX The Wales Former Players Association, charities I think you will agree are very worthwhile causes.

The cost of the dinner is £45 (per head) £450 (per table of 10) Inclusive of a five-course meal.  The dress will be Lounge Suits or Blazers and Greys and it will be a 6.45pm meet for 7.30pm sit down.  If you would like to be part of the evening and in doing so help us to achieve our goal with our "We Want A Million Appeal" then please contact our honourable secretary David Power on 07973705062.
