Rub Shoulders With Rugby Stars
Tickets are still available to enjoy dinner with Phil Bennett to pay tribute to his lifelong contribution to rugby. The Welsh Charitables RFC is giving him the honour of a charity tribute dinner at City Hall in Cardiff on Friday 22 August.
Rugby fans are invited to join him and many other Wales and British Lion players on this special evening. Tickets at £45, include a five course dinner, and are available by calling David Power, secretary of the Welsh Charitables RFC, on 07973 705062.
David said: "The City Hall in Cardiff is a stunning venue to pay tribute to a stunning player. There is no doubt that Phil helped build Welsh rugby's reputation as one of the world's leading producers of outside halves."
"Our annual tribute dinners are popular as they attract leading ex-players from the last few decades. This is a chance for rugby fans to rub shoulders with the very players that they've cheered from the touchline."
All the money raised will go the Welsh Charitables RFC 'We Want a Million' appeal, to set up a trust fund to support TY Hafan The Children's Hospice in Wales, St Anne's Hospice, St David's Foundation Hospice Care, The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust (A Trust to support players at all levels injured whilst playing the game) and WREX The Wales Former Players Association.
